Royal Adelaide Show partnership extended
BankSA, one of South Australia’s most enduring icons, has strengthened ties with another much-loved local institution, the Royal Adelaide Show.
BankSA Managing Director, Jane Kittel, said BankSA has been a proud Show partner since 1996 and in 2013 has significantly increased its commitment to become a Premier Partner.
“We are delighted to continue to be associated with this wonderful family event which also celebrates the important economic and social contribution made by the rural sector and its communities,’’ Ms Kittel said.
“The Show is a much loved annual event for so many South Australians and we are proud that our support helps the Show continue with many family favourites including the BankSA Farmyard Nursery, the BankSA Kids Carnival and the new BankSA family Chill Zone.’’
BankSA is strengthening its commitment to South Australia, having recently renewed the Fringe Festival for a further four years and by deepening its relationship with the Show for a further three years.
“BankSA's sponsorship portfolio is about supporting customers and the community and enabling iconic South Australian events to prosper. And by supporting free activities at the Show, we're also able to help more families enjoy the event by making their Show budgets stretch a little bit further."
Tickets for the Royal Show, which starts on September 6 went on sale today and for the first time the Show has released a ‘Family Value Pack’ ticket option, including; BankSA Discounted Ride Tickets, Show entry for four, food and drinks, showbags and parking as part of the discounted package.
BankSA has been part of South Australia for the past 165 years. The very first Produce Show was staged by the Agricultural Society of SA in 1840, so both organisations share strong ties with the history of our state.
“BankSA also shares an unbroken record of contributing to the life and economic vibrancy of the state, including its rural communities, which have always been central to the Royal Adelaide Show,’’ Ms Kittel said.
“BankSA has always had a significant presence in regional areas, reflecting our commitment to serving all South Australians, regardless of their location.’’
In addition to the many fun family-oriented activities, BankSA’s Show sponsorship provides BankSA Lost Child Wrist Bands and various exciting initiatives that will make for a fabulous Show experience.
Of course, the Show wouldn’t be the Show without one of the best loved Show traditions, the BankSA Farmyard Nursery.
The nursery appeals to all ages with loads of traditional farm animals on show. Children can admire cute baby animals including rabbits, chicks and guinea pigs and they can also enjoy miniature Shetlands, goats, lambs and a range of Australian native animals.
“We are delighted once more to help bring you the best of the Royal Adelaide Show and to support this marvellous event again this year," Ms Kittel said.
Royal Agricultural & Horticultural Society Chief Executive, John Rothwell said the Society was delighted to enhance its relationship with BankSA.
“BankSA has been an ongoing supporter of the Royal Show for more than 16 years and is synonymous with the Farmyard Nursery, which continues to be one of the most popular attractions at the Show. And now among other Show activities BankSA is helping to bring Discounted Ride Tickets to the public, which I’m sure will be well received,” Mr Rothwell said.
