Adelaide’s most affordable penthouses to be released this month at The Watson
Buyers will have one last chance to purchase an apartment at the popular The Watson Apartments and Hotel, Walkerville when nine apartments on the project’s Penthouse levels go onto the market this month (October 26).
Located on Levels 9 and 10, the top two floors of the building, the Penthouse apartments enjoy unparalleled sweeping views and range in size from 1 to 3 bedrooms.
An additional floor (Level 10) was added to the development following interest in the Penthouses from buyers during the main project launch.
However, these aren’t traditional Penthouse apartments and like the rest of the project have been sensibly priced, with one bedroom apartments starting at $448,000, two bedrooms at $560,000 and three bedrooms at $749,000. The most exclusive Penthouse being released is priced at $1.064 million.
The Penthouses also come with exclusive automated direct lift access, private secure car parking, and premium fixtures and fittings.
Asian Pacific Group Chief Executive Officer Will Deague said we’re expecting strong interest in the Penthouses following the success of the project launch in March.
“The Penthouse apartments have been designed to the full advantage of the development’s location and views, with floor to ceiling glass sliding doors leading to spacious balconies for outdoor entertaining, said Mr Deague.
“We’re unlikely to see another opportunity to purchase a new Penthouse apartment in a prestigious blue ribbon suburb like Walkerville offered to the market in the next ten or twenty years.
“We already received a number of enquiries for the Penthouses during the March sales launch, particularly from local residents keen to stay in this leafy suburb but move out of the big family home and enjoy a low maintenance lifestyle.
“Buyers who register their interest for the Penthouses will have an exclusive opportunity to purchase ahead of the public sales launch on October 26.”
The Watson Apartments and Hotel have proved popular withdevelopers Asian Pacific Group and Project Sales and Marketing Agents Ironfish selling 195 of the 210 apartments within a few weeks.
The apartments have sold to a mix of owner-occupiers and investors keen to take advantage of the unique nature of the development, apartment and project design and affordable prices.
Residents at the Watson will enjoy an enviable lifestyle with full access to the Hotel facilities which will include eateries operated by renowned restaurateurs, a commercial business centre, an artist in residence studio, Michael Klim designed pool and deck, health and recreational facilities.
Residents will also be able to drive or cycle into the City by hiring one of the Hotel’s Smart Cars or Bicycles for a nominal fee.
By bike or on foot, residents will have direct access to the revitalised Riverbank precinct and Adelaide Oval via the Linear Park.
The Watson Apartments and Hotel are due to open in mid 2014 and will form part of the Art Series Hotel Group.
The Group currently owns and operates The Cullen, The Olsen and The Blackman in Melbourne. Each Art Series Hotel is designed to embody an iconic Australian artist’s individual style and characteristics. The Watson is named after Tommy Watson, a senior Pitjantjatjara elder, and one of Australia's most collectable indigenous artists.
