$150 million Woodforde residential development gets green light
The transformation of a 19 hectare development site at Woodforde into a fully master planned residential community has been given the go ahead by the Development Assessment Commission.
Around 400 architecturally designed homes including townhouses and low-rise apartments will be built on the site, which will be complemented by a 50,000 square metre reserve.
Perched at the foot of Norton Summit, future residents in the Woodforde development will enjoy sweeping panoramic views overlooking the City and the Hills and out towards Gulf St Vincent.
The Woodforde development will be fully master planned, designed and build-managed by Starfish
Developments and joint venture partner Devine Limited (ASX: DVN) to ensure the highest development standards are achieved.
Starfish Developments, Managing Director, Damon Nagel said Woodforde, Adelaide’s smallest suburb, is a hidden gem in a prime location with easy access to the city, eastern suburbs shopping strips and the Adelaide Hills.
“Both companies are very excited by the opportunity that this sites presents,” Mr Nagel said.
“It is also evident that potential buyers are sharing our enthusiasm with very strong interest and registrations to purchase in the new community already received.
“Future homes on the site will be developed in levels across the gently sloping site to ensure views are maximised and a diversity of dwelling styles are offered within a cohesive community.
“Very tight controls on the high quality of the urban design, housing design and landscaping will be enforced as we’re aiming for Woodforde to be judged by international standards.
“Woodforde presents another opportunity for Starfish Developments to demonstrate its design leadership.”
Following development approval, the Joint Venture is now planning a project brand launch and initial site works are expected to start later this year.
Prior to project sales officially commencing, construction will be undertaken on homes, display homes and subdivision works, including the main entry to the community to demonstrate the quality of the development.
The development is expected to create 400 jobs over a four year period.
Interested buyers can register their interest at www.woodforde.com.au to be kept informed about the project.
