Bene launches new concierge-style home care delivery service
Leading South Australian aged care provider Bene has launched a new concierge-style home care delivery service for the elderly.
To be known as ‘Bene Casa’, the new dedicated home care division will significantly expand on the not-for-profit organisation’s existing home care service and allow elderly customers and their families to arrange support for everything from personal care and medication management to assistance with home cleaning, cooking and transport.
Bene Aged Care Chief Executive Officer Andrew McFarlane says the new Bene Casa division will be among the best in-home care services in South Australia.
“Statistics tell us that South Australia has an ageing population, but that more people are wanting to remain in their own homes for as long as possible before moving into an aged care facility later in life,” said Mr McFarlane.
“So we’ve made the decision to ramp up our home care offering and provide a full range of tailor-made support services to enable people to continue living in their own homes knowing that any assistance they require is only an email or phone call away.
“At Bene, we know that one size doesn’t fit all, so we’ve carefully planned our new in-home care services which can be customised to suit individual needs. Ultimately, Bene Casa has been designed to serve as a personal concierge service to help make people’s lives easier.”
In addition to personal care, medication management, home cleaning, cooking and transport assistance, Bene Casa’s extensive range of in-home care services includes reablement activities, accompaniment on social outings, and overnight respite for families and carers.
“Our new Bene Casa division will primarily benefit our ageing customers, but it will also serve to reduce the burden on family members who will be able to entrust us with many of the simple but time-consuming tasks they have responsibility for,” said Mr McFarlane.
“Whether you or a loved one needs some help to do the weekly shopping or get to and from a medical or hairdressing appointment, our fully trained staff will be on standby to provide personalised support whenever needed.”
Established in 1974, Bene Aged Care is South Australia’s largest provider of aged and community care services to the state’s Italian community, while also serving the needs of others from different cultural backgrounds who simply enjoy the Italian style.
The organisation currently provides care to more than 2,500 consumers in South Australia every year, which is led by its management of The Italian Village residential aged care home at St Agnes, the Campbelltown Residential Aged Care home and the St Clair Residential Aged care home at Woodville.
Bene also provides various centre-based activities and services for the elderly and their carers, in addition to one-on-one consultations to personally guide consumers through the Federal Government’s My Aged Care application process, which must now be followed to access in-home or residential aged care services.
“Bene Aged Care is South Australia’s largest provider of culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) aged care services and we’re always looking at new ways to improve what we offer to benefit the elderly and their families,” said Mr McFarlane.
“So we’re really excited to launch our new Bene Casa division, which will further strengthen the aged care services we provide to thousands of South Australians.”
