Two Hands Wines supports Hutt St Centre with $42k Blue Skies donation
Barossa winery Two Hands Wines has donated $42,000 to Hutt St Centre to support its initiatives to end homelessness, raised from the sales of its Blue Skies Cabernet Franc.
Using grapes grown from its Hickinbotham vines in McLaren Vale, Two Hands Wines has donated 100 per cent of the sale price of its Blue Skies limited edition wine to Hutt St Centre.
Hutt St Centre is Adelaide’s longest-serving charity supporting people experiencing homelessness and serves hundreds of meals each day to people in need, along with providing showers, lockers, wellbeing and educational support, and many other professional services.
Hutt St Centre Chief Executive Chris Burns said many wineries were doing it tough, and to have Two Hands Wines put a charity before profits was an amazing gesture.
“Many wineries are struggling at the moment with an over-supply, export tariffs and other industry issues, and we really appreciate that Two Hands Wines is going above and beyond and supporting Hutt St Centre at a tough time,” Mr Burns said.
“We’re seeing record numbers of people walking through our doors, even if it’s just for a hot meal and a shower, and every cent donated by Two Hands Wines will go towards helping the people who need it the most.”
