$250 million Forestville project launch
The first homes at the $250 million Forestville project will go on sale tomorrow as the developers open the door to a first-of-its-kind ‘Demonstration Space’ providing a taste of what future residents and visitors will enjoy.
Twenty-seven architecturally-designed terrace homes are being released in the first stage at Forestville and with civil construction already well underway it’s expected construction will start on the first homes next year.
The two and three-storey homes overlook landscaped community open space, and will feature lightfilled luxury interiors, three bedrooms, rooftop terrace gardens, internal courtyards, provisions such as EV charging and battery storage and double off-street parking.
The project launch will also be marked by the opening of a unique ‘Demonstration Space’ which will incorporate not only the project’s sales and information centre, but also a ‘mini-supermarket’ run by Adelaide’s Finest, Pom Pom (a cafe and restaurant operated by leading hospitality group Fam Group Pty Ltd), Mache coworking space, Youth Inc school and an events space.
The Forestville project is located on former Le Cornu site on Anzac Highway, and will incorporate six distinctive precincts - Residential, Retail, Hospitality, Education, Commercial and Tourism.
It will include:
• A Market Square (The Agora) with supermarket, open-air cafes, eateries and specialist retailers.
• Housing diversity with approximately 250 high-quality apartments and 71 terrace homes, providing opportunities across varying life stages and lifestyles.
• Short-stay apartments to cater for tourism, corporate and wellbeing sectors. • Youth.Inc operated Urban Green School, where 17-24 year old students will learn about sustainable food production, urban farming and business skills.
• A rooftop Urban Farm practicing regenerative agriculture and managed by students from the Urban Green School
• 30% open and green space – approximately half of which will be 24/7 publicly accessible land across reserves, the market square and high-quality public realm, and the other half open space via rooftop activations including the Urban Farm.
Forestville is being developed by a consortium led by the South Australian independent Commercial Retail Group, owners and operators of Frewville and Pasadena Foodland, national property developer Peet Limited and local developer Buildtec.
The development will create an estimated 900 direct and indirect jobs during construction, plus 700 ongoing jobs across retail, services, education and hospitality.

The lifestyle at Forestville for future residents and visitors will be unrivalled with the project incorporating a bustling market square and retail precinct, eateries, Urban Green School and rooftop Urban Farm and diverse residential living.
Integrated seamlessly into the wider Forestville suburb, it will be a community where people can live, play, work and learn.
We have been working hard over the past year with our design team to further develop our plans which will be now be on display for the community to view at the immersive Forestville Demonstration Space.
We feel privileged to be developing and activating this unique site on the city-fringe for the benefit of not only future residents, but also the broader community.
Uniquely, we won’t only be developing this community but will also become a part of the community itself as owners and operators of a new Adelaide’s Finest supermarket at Forestville.
Quotes attributable to Peet State Manager (South Australia) Mark Devine
The release of the first homes at Forestville marked a significant milestone for the project with new homes close to the city in high demand.
The newly released terrace homes have been thoughtfully designed to suit the location and lifestyle on offer for future residents at Forestville.
While secluded, the homes will also be only a short walk into the bustling Market Square, shops, cafes and restaurants and other amenities available at Forestville.
Future residents will be just 2kms from the CBD and well connected for an easy commute by road, train, bike or on foot.
Quotes attributable to Nick Champion, Minister for Housing and Urban Development
This Forestville project is an incredibly important development that will transform the former Le Cornu site into a new neighbourhood.
This development will accommodate hundreds of people and demonstrates the importance of creating a masterplanned community in a strategic infill location.
The proximity of this area to the Park Lands, CBD and major public transport options will make this a popular place to live, shop, study and work.
The Forestville Demonstration Space is located at 58 Maple Ave, Forestville. It will be open from open Monday & Wednesday 10am – 5pm, Saturday & Sunday 12pm to 5pm. Appointments outside these hours available on request. Pom Pom will be open from 7am to 3pm daily.
