25 November 2024

The CFS Foundation is thrilled to announce that the CFS Volunteer Training Team will soon be sporting distinctive polo shirts, generously sponsored by Flinders Port Holdings (FPH). This sponsorship of the team is a testament to FPH’s ongoing commitment to supporting the tireless efforts of our volunteers in keeping South Australia safe.

The CFS Volunteer Training Team plays a critical role in preparing and training volunteers to respond to a wide range of emergency situations. The new polo shirts, proudly displaying the CFS, FPH and CFS Foundation logos, will enhance team identity and boost morale as they continue their important work across the state.

With seven ports across South Australia, including key regional areas, FPH wanted to provide support to an organisation which committed to protecting the state. With many staff involved across the CFS especially in regional areas.

CFS Foundation Patron Vince Monterola expressed his gratitude for the support: "Flinders Port Holdings has shown tremendous leadership in backing our volunteer force. The new shirts symbolise the strength and unity of the CFS volunteers who serve our community selflessly."

CFS Chief Officer Brett Loughlin AFSM – “The SA Country Fire Service (CFS) is South Australia's largest emergency services sector and one of the state’s leading Registered Training Organisations, offering over 100 courses to equip members with the essential skills required to respond to approximately 8,000 incidents each year. The generous support from Flinders Port Holdings, will provide well deserved recognition for our training teams as they deliver critical training to prepare South Australians for times of need.”

Flinders Port Holdings CEO Stewart Lammin also commented on the partnership: "We are proud to support the CFS and its essential work. The CFS volunteers are the backbone of emergency response in South Australia, and we hope this contribution serves as a small token of our appreciation for their dedication."

A presentation of the new polo shirts to the CFS volunteer trainers was held on Monday, 25th November at Flinders Adelaide Container Terminal, Outer Harbor.
