SA advertising agency awarded prestigious international award
Adelaide based advertising agency Showpony has been recognised in the prestigious international Mobius Awards.
The Mobius Awards are one of the world’s oldest independent international advertising competitions and acknowledge effectiveness and creative excellence. They were established in 1971 in Chicago by J.W. Anderson as part of the U.S. Television and Radio Commercials Festival.
This year, the Mobius Awards received submissions from 24 countries and issued 77 awards internationally, with Australian advertising agencies landing a total of 11 awards. Showpony was the only South Australian agency to be recognised. The Rundle-Street based agency was awarded for 'outstanding creative' in the ‘print’ category for work created for the McLaren Vale Grape Wine & Tourism Association for their annual Sea and Vines Festival.
When developing the campaign, the agency considered ‘How do you say “Food and Wine Festival” in less than two words?’ The result was a simple and striking campaign created in collaboration with 2012 SA AIPP Professional Photographer of the Year Liam West.
“The campaign was a huge success for our client. The fact that we've been recognised for the quality of our creativity is another bonus and a great excuse for knocking the top off a bottle of bubbles - from McLaren Vale of course”, said Showpony’s creative director, Parris Mesidis.
Showpony has a portfolio of iconic national and South Australian brands, including Bridgestone, Sapporo Beer, Flinders University, Yalumba and SA Health.
