Kieran is a strategic thinker adept in communications planning and issues management. His journalism background and broad knowledge of the media have proven valuable when providing communications counsel to his range of clients.
Kieran has a great eye for detail and a sharp news sense that helps him maximise profile and brand building opportunities. Since joining the consultancy in 2007, he has worked for clients across numerous industries including property, education, health, retail, mining, energy, aged care and government.
He has achieved terrific results for leading national and state focused businesses, including site specific publicity for Coles in South Australia and the Northern Territory, brand positioning for leading Adelaide private school Scotch College, and communications strategy management and tactical implementation for CIC Australia’s Darwin-based residential project – The Heights, Durack.
Kieran has also driven public relations activities for the Adelaide Cemeteries Authority, Adelaide Development Company, Bing Boy, Hines Property, Lifestyle SA and the Urban Development Institute of Australia, in addition to managing community relations for a leading commercial fishing group and supporting Cancer Council SA to promote major fundraising events and leverage key sponsorships.
Prior to joining Hughes Public Relations, Kieran was a journalist and editor at Adelaide publishing company, Boylen Media. While at Boylen, Kieran managed numerous publications on behalf of leading employer groups including the Australian Hotels Association and Motor Trade Association, as well as the SANFL Football Budget. Kieran is a journalism graduate from the University of South Australia.
